Group Head of AI Factory/Chief Data Scientist

1. AI & Data Strategy

• Define and own the Group-wide AI/Data strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned with business objectives.

• Identify high-impact AI/ML/GenAI use cases (growth, personalization, optimization, fraud/risk, automation).

• Establish AI governance, best practices, ethical AI standards, and model lifecycle management.

2. AI Factory Leadership

• Build, lead, and scale AI Factory teams including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Analytics teams.

• Set technical direction for model development, experimentation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

• Ensure AI solutions are production-ready, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

3. Model Development & Deployment

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of:

• • Statistical & predictive models

  • Machine Learning & Deep Learning models

  • NLP & GenAI solutions

• Lead end-to-end model lifecycle: data preparation, feature engineering, training, validation, deployment, and performance monitoring.

• Drive adoption of MLOps / ModelOps practices on cloud platforms.

4. Technology & Architecture

• Guide architecture decisions related to big data platforms, distributed computing, and cloud infrastructure.

• Ensure effective use of technologies such as Python, R, SQL, Spark, Hadoop, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Collaborate closely with IT, Engineering, Security, and Cloud teams.

5. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

• Act as a trusted AI advisor to C-level executives and senior stakeholders.

• Translate complex AI concepts into clear business value and actionable insights.

• Influence decision-making at executive level using data-driven recommendations.

6. Talent & Capability Building

• Develop technical and leadership capabilities within the AI/Data organization.

• Mentor senior data scientists and technical leaders.

• Drive a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of building and deploying machine learning and AI models in large-scale production environments.

• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and big data technologies.

• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and experience with distributed computing (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
