FRP Mold Maintenance Worker

1. Job Description

Based on the regulations and standards for the maintenance of composite material equipment in Vietnam, responsible for periodic inspection, maintenance, and servicing of composite molds (such as wind turbine blade molds) and other FRP products (e.g., model wind turbine blades); inspecting the surface of equipment to detect cracks, leaks, corrosion… in a timely manner and carrying out repairs and anti-corrosion treatments to ensure stable equipment operation.
Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting composite equipment issues; performing tasks such as cutting, grinding, mixing adhesives, patching… to restore the functionality and original shape of damaged equipment; based on the condition of the damage, proposing reasonable repair plans to ensure repair quality; the entire repair process must comply with Vietnamese legal regulations in the field of FRP material repair.
Participate in the installation and testing of composite molds for wind turbine blades; assist technicians in assembling, connecting, and sealing molds, ensuring the installation process meets technical requirements and technological processes; installation and testing activities must comply with Vietnamese legal regulations regarding the construction of composite equipment.
Manage repair materials for composites such as epoxy resin, fiberglass, hardeners…; allocate materials reasonably according to repair needs, store them properly to avoid damage and waste; keep detailed records of material usage; material management must comply with regulations on material management in enterprises in Vietnam.
Strictly adhere to production safety procedures and operational guidelines for repairing composite equipment, using appropriate and complete personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, protective clothing… to ensure safety throughout the construction process; promptly report any safety hazards or accidents related to composite equipment and coordinate to handle incidents, in accordance with Vietnamese labor safety regulations.
Keep detailed records of the entire maintenance and repair process of composite equipment; build and update equipment records periodically, providing data to support equipment management; the record-keeping activity must comply with Vietnamese legal regulations on equipment record management in enterprises.

2. Job Requirements

Graduated from a vocational school, technical college, or higher; majoring in Composite Material Engineering, Composite Material Technology, Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP/GRP) Technology, or related fields.
Have at least 2 years of experience in maintaining FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) equipment; preference for candidates who have worked in factories in Vietnam or foreign-invested enterprises; preference for candidates knowledgeable about maintaining composite molds in the wind turbine blade manufacturing industry.
Understand the properties of FRP materials and the manufacturing – repair processes; proficient in tasks such as cutting, grinding, gluing, shaping…; skilled in using specialized tools and equipment for repairing composite materials.
Have good practical skills and problem-solving abilities; can adapt to the specific working environment in repairs; work carefully, with a sense of responsibility, safety awareness, and good teamwork ability; strictly adhere to labor safety regulations in Vietnam.
Have basic knowledge of English or Vietnamese, able to read and understand equipment operation manuals and simple safety warnings; capable of basic work communication with colleagues.
Vietnamese candidates: Proficient in Chinese or English communication is required, preference for those with experience in Chinese enterprises.
Chinese candidates: Proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Vietnamese is required, preference for those with work experience in Vietnam.
