Lead

JOB PURPOSE

1. Data Platform Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Platform, and Data Product.

  • Define and execute the long-term data platform strategy aligned with the bank’s digital transformation roadmap.

  • Act as a key stakeholder working closely with bank leadership, technology partners, and internal business units.

2. Data Platform Design & Implementation

  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, operation, and optimization of enterprise-wide data platforms.

  • Manage Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart solutions at scale.

  • Ensure platforms are scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-efficient.

3. Cloud & Infrastructure Management

  • Lead the management of cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Ensure infrastructure meets business requirements, performance targets, and SLA commitments.

  • Drive cloud cost optimization and operational efficiency.

4. Data Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.

  • Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and banking industry standards.

  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Information Security teams.

5. Delivery & Change Management

  • Manage a high volume of change requests, ensuring effective prioritization and timely delivery.

  • Continuously improve processes to increase data pipeline efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Ensure platform stability while supporting rapid business changes.

6. Data-Driven Strategy & AI Enablement

  • Lead the implementation of data-driven initiatives that generate tangible business outcomes.

  • Enable data platforms to support AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases, such as:

    • Credit scoring

    • Fraud detection

    • Risk analytics

    • Customer personalization

  • Partner with Data Science and AI teams to ensure data readiness for analytics and machine learning.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years in data-related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position managing teams across data engineering, architecture, and product functions.

  • Proven track record of overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide data platforms and solutions.

  • Experience in managing cloud-based data infrastructure and ensuring its alignment with business needs.

  • In-depth knowledge of data management best practices and industry standards, including data governance, security, and data privacy.

  • Experience in leading the implementation of data-driven strategies that deliver tangible business outcomes

  • Experience in managing large volumes of change requests, prioritizing, and ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Track record of implementing process improvements that enhance data pipeline efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Experience with data technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark) and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools and how data platforms can support data science initiatives.
