DevOps Engineer (Observability): Infrastructure Operation

JOB PURPOSE

Design, implement, and operate Observability platforms (Monitoring, Logging, Tracing) for banking infrastructure and applications.
Build and optimize end-to-end monitoring for microservices and distributed systems.
Collect and analyze metrics, logs, and traces to:
- Proactively detect incidents
- Perform root cause analysis
- Improve system stability, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Application, Security, SRE, and Development teams to ensure SLA/SLO/SLI compliance in a banking environment.
Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines, Incident Management, and ITSM processes.
Standardize dashboards, alerting rules, runbooks, and incident response workflows.
Ensure observability systems comply with banking security, compliance, and IT governance standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience

5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on Platform Engineering, Observability, SRE, or DevOps. Experience in enterprise environments; banking or financial services is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with observability / monitoring tools, such as: OpenText, SolarWinds, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry
Strong understanding of: Distributed systems, Microservices architecture
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools, including: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
Knowledge of: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus. Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
