Project Manager – Banking

Lead

JOB PURPOSE

The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering large-scale banking IT projects, especially key core systems, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and in compliance with banking regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of banking IT projects, from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring to closure

  • Lead and coordinate large-scale software development and implementation projects related to core banking, payment, LOS, CRM, data, and integration systems

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the Bank, stakeholders, vendors, and internal delivery teams

  • Develop and manage:

    • Project plans, timelines, resources, and budgets

    • Project scope, risks, issues, and change requests

  • Apply and tailor project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall based on banking project requirements

  • Monitor project progress, ensure deliverable quality, and proactively manage risks and issues

  • Ensure compliance with:

    • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

    • Banking security, compliance, and risk management requirements

  • Provide regular project status reports to senior management and banking stakeholders

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in software development or software implementation projects

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a Banking or Financial Services environment

  • Proven experience managing:

    • Large-scale projects

    • Mission-critical / core banking systems

  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies: Agile / Scrum / Waterfall

  • Strong skills in:

    • Stakeholder management

    • Communication and coordination

    • Problem-solving and decision-making

  • Good command of English for professional communication
